The B.C. Easter Seals 24-Hour Camp Challenge raised more than $120,000 last weekend in Victoria.
Teams that successfully raised at least $100 per team member were able to participate in the challenge which included various games and activities such as volleyball, basketball, glow-in-the-dark bocce, a giant swing along with plenty of arts and crafts, frozen T-shirt contest, dress-up relay, bubblegum game and javelin toss with a pool noodle.
“This is really an event that celebrates community. It’s always exciting to see what happens when people from all walks of life come together to do something positive,” said Stephen Miller, president and CEO Easter Seals B.C.-Yukon.
Money from the event are used to fund B.C. Easter Seals summer camps.
