The shortest month of the year nears its conclusion, but that doesn't limit the list of things to do in Greater Victoria. Here are five things to do around Victoria from Feb. 28 - March 4.
Chasing the Sun Tour
Eight time Juno award winner, Colin James, will appear at the Royal McPherson Theatre on Monday, March 3 at 8 p.m. Hailing from Regina, Sask., James remains at the top of his game, continuing to challenge himself musically. Tickets for the concert start at $63.25 at rmts.bc.ca.
Behind the Moon
Fernwood's Belfry Theatre continues the showing of Behind the Moon until March. 2. Praised as “one of CanLit’s most inventive chameleons” playwright and author Anosh Irani transports us to the Mughlai Moon restaurant in Toronto, where Ayub spends his days cooking, cleaning, and waiting for a future that feels just out of reach. The play runs two hours in length which includes one-15 minute intermission. Get tickets at belfry.bc.ca.
The puck drops
The Victoria Royals will continue their seven-game home stand with a pair of games at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. The Portland Winterhawks will roll into town on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, March. 1 at 6:05 p.m. Victoria will aim to secure their placement within the Western Conference standings as they chase the B.C. division crown.
Franco Fest Victoria
Music fans can rejoice with an evening at The Mint featuring rock-country-folk band La Patente on Saturday, March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. Formed in 2020, the New Brunswick-based band has performed more than 100 shows since their inception. Tickets to the event range from $15 to $20.
Builders paradise
The Sidney Museum continues to host their annual Lego Brick exhibition which features hundreds of creations with the sub-theme 'A Hidden World'. Notable creations of Architecture, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Notre-Dame de Paris will grab interest of Lego lovers of all varieties. The exhibition runs until March 20 at the Sidney Museum located at 2423 Beacon Avenue with entry by donation.
