Box of kittens abandoned in Greater Victoria parking lot need new homes

CRD Animal Shelter has a plethora of kittens ready for rehoming

A kindle of kittens is on the path to new homes after being found abandoned in a parking lot at Thetis Lake.

The handful of fur balls are now among the plethora of kittens at the CRD Animal Shelter.

“Luckily someone found them in time and they are now getting the care they need and will be ready for families in the near future,” the shelter said in a social media post.

“While we don’t normally take in owner-surrendered animals we can always offer assistance in getting animals placed.”

Now’s a great time to get a kitten for those looking, with a selection of characters to choose from. The shelter invites folks to visit Monday to Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The shelter is also seeking foster homes for feral kittens.

Anyone needing advice on rehoming, looking for a pet or wanting to help tame some kittens can call 250-658-5745 or email animalshelter@crd.bc.ca.
