Annual event showcases handmade goods, supports local artisans

The Juan de Fuca 55+ Activity Centre is gearing up for its annual Christmas Craft Fair, set to take place on Nov. 2 and 3. The two-day event will feature over 30 tables of handcrafted items made by centre members, offering visitors an early start to their holiday shopping.

Located at 1767 Island Highway in Victoria, the fair will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, making it an accessible event for all community members.

Visitors can expect to find a variety of handmade goods, including jewelry, home preserves, greeting cards, Christmas decorations, pottery, and more. The event also features surprise gifts available for $2 and raffle opportunities for attendees.

The craft fair isn't just about shopping; it's also a chance for community gathering. Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase, encouraging visitors to make a day of the event.

Organizers emphasize that the centre is accessible and offers ample parking. However, they remind attendees that the fair is a cash-only event.
