The highly anticipated TD Art Gallery Paint-In is set to return on Saturday, July 15, marking its 34th anniversary.
Organized by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV), this renowned event promises to captivate art enthusiasts and visitors alike with a vibrant display of creativity from Vancouver and Gulf Islands artists.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the AGGV will open its doors to the public, welcoming attendees to immerse themselves in an extraordinary visual experience. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., art fans will have the opportunity to witness the boundless artistic expressions along Victoria’s iconic Moss Street, stretching from Fort Street to Dallas Road.
Adding to the festivities, the celebration will continue at the family-friendly beer garden at the AGGV, offering live music performances until 6 p.m.
Since its inception in 1989, the TD Art Gallery Paint-In has grown exponentially, attracting a diverse array of artists specializing in various disciplines, such as painting, sculpture, drawing and ceramics. This year’s edition boasts an impressive record of 160 participating artists, underscoring the event’s enduring popularity and commitment to showcasing artistic diversity.

Anticipating an audience of over 30,000 visitors spanning all generations, the event promises an enriching experience for everyone involved. Attendees can indulge in six Imagination Stations, offering engaging hands-on activities, and access five festival information stations for comprehensive event guidance. Furthermore, a wide array of food vendors, beverage stations and the Bosley’s Pet Station for furry companions will be available.
A digital map of the event will be available as well. This innovative feature allows attendees to effortlessly navigate through the artists’ displays, locate food vendors and explore all other TD Art Gallery Paint-In highlights.
To make sure the event goes smoothly, it’s important to know that Moss Street will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
