Deuce Days rolls into Greater Victoria with Thursday ferry landing

More than 1,000 1932 Fords set to sparkle at the Inner Harbour

Dozens of Deuces rolling off the ferry from the U.S. Thursday heralds the return of Northwest Deuce Days across Greater Victoria July 17 to 20. The event last ran in 2022.

The MV Coho ferry arrives from Port Angeles, Washington at 2:15 p.m. and expects to have a boatload of classic hot-rods on board for the weekend's celebration of Ford 1932 vehicles.

Locals and visitors in the know tend to stand along the road for an "impromptu parade" welcoming the show that generally draws about 1,300 cars.

Drivers should be aware Belleville Street will be closed between Menzies and Oswego streets periodically throughout the day.

The revelry continues for car owners who partake in events across the region Friday.

On Saturday, Dallas Road, starting at Ross Bay, transforms into the Rainbow Road with staging starting at 7 a.m. and a Poker Run at 9 a.m. will see cars and drivers touring the region.

Parking around downtown Victoria may be limited Sunday for the big show as the Inner Harbour area fills with Deuces in an outdoor showcase of classic collector's vehicles from around the world.

Parking opens at 4:30 a.m. with show vehicles released at their own leisure at 3:30 p.m.

Northwest Deuce Days awards start at 3 p.m. on the legislature lawn.
