Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress is giving back to the community for the 26th year with a free Thanksgiving meal in Victoria.
“I am honoured to have partnered with Victoria’s Our Place Society since 1998. We are truly humbled and blessed to have served over 25,000 meals in support of Vancouver Island’s most vulnerable people over the past 26 years,” Gordy Dodd said in a news release.
The family-run franchise with locations in Victoria and Campbell River regularly hosts dinners including at Victoria’s Our Place Society.
Local dignitaries, media – including Victoria News publisher Randi Page – and volunteers join Our Place staff to feed hundreds of Victoria’s most vulnerable residents during the annual Dodd’s Thanksgiving Dinner.
Gordy Dodd’s 26th annual Our Place Society Thanksgiving Dinner is served up Oct. 11 at 919 Pandora Ave. from 5 to 6 p.m.
