The B.C. Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees celebrated their 25th anniversary with a record-breaking 85 trees displayed throughout the halls of The Bay Centre and the Fairmont Empress Hotel, raising more than $170,500.

The funds go towards the excellence in child health fund, which supports research into childhood disases, life-saving equipment, rehabilitation and the most urgent needs of the hospital.

Last year, more than 2,700 children from Vancouver Island were treated at B.C. Children’s Hospital. The festival continues to be the hospital foundation’s largest fundraising event on the Island.
