With the sun shining and the days getting longer, it’s time for the annual Best of the City to start ramping up.
This informative publication offers readers local and visiting a glimpse into some of the fun and interesting people, public places, businesses and other things that make our city and region the special place it is.
While the 2018 edition will once again be filled with stories from around Greater Victoria, the anchor to Best of the City is always the list: the place where readers can go to find the best places for everything from the best place to workout, enjoy Thai food, find a mate, take visitors to, drink beer, and more.
The nomination period has begun, where the public can offer their suggestions for certain categories. All you need to do to nominate your favourites, is go to your community news website at vicnews.com and select “contests” at the top of the home page.
There you’ll find a Best of the City 2018 icon to click on that offers seven different nomination categories: eating and drinking, health and fitness, services, sports and recreation, arts and entertainment, leisure and shopping. There’s plenty of subcategories that help us drill down to get a clear picture of what you love to do and where you love to do it. Voting gets underway April 15.
