A new student-led social venture from Royal Roads University has found a creative way to help animals at Wild ARC: one that involves ink and low commitment.

"I've always been passionate about tattoos – I already have a few myself – and wanted to create something that lets people express themselves while supporting a good cause," said Harsh Dattani, co-founder of the venture Try Ink. "With Try Ink, you can enjoy tattoos without the commitment, and every purchase helps support local wildlife."

Founded by business students as part of their Online Venture Challenge, Try Ink’s mission is to help people express themselves through art while giving back to nature. Customers purchase a temporary tattoo, and all proceeds go directly to Wild ARC, which cares for injured and orphaned wildlife across B.C.

Try Ink also offers a custom tattoo service, enabling customers to upload their own designs for the temporary tattoos.

Their ultimate goal is to run it as a social enterprise and then hand over the established business to a nonprofit so it can support causes long-term.

Try Ink's shop can be found at https://try-ink.myshopify.com.
