Club spokesperson John Treleavan said volunteers — some 830 of them — picked up the red and green plants associated with the Christmas season — and scattered in all directions to make their deliveries by noon on Nov. 23.
“Our poinsettia sale is an annual feature in our fundraising program, which ultimately benefits a variety of local organizations and, through the Rotary Foundation and partner club, international programs.”
The plants arrived at 6:30 a.m. and had been delivered to their recipients by lunchtime that day.
