The District of Saanich is offering online climate action workshops to help residents learn how to take practical action in their own lives and communities.
Expert guests will share knowledge every Tuesday evening beginning Jan. 25 about how to reduce one’s personal climate impact.
Discussion topics over the course of the six weeks will include sustainable transportation options, climate-friendly home renovations involving heat pumps, ways to live lighter and emergency preparedness.
Tips and local resources will also be offered to help people get involved in reducing climate impact with their purchasing choices for such things as food, clothing and other consumer goods.
The online workshop is set to occur online via Microsoft Teams every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m from Jan. 25 through March 1.
