According to a Facebook post from one of Rufus’ searchers, it’s not uncommon for a macaw in the wild to travel about 56 kilometers daily in the wild, and searcher believe the bird may be on the West Shore somewhere.
Or the bird could be in someone’s home.
A $5,000 reward has now been offered for Rufus’ unharmed return with no questions asked.
He has been a part of a flock of five macaws for the past 15 years – the baby of the bunch – and his family is desperate for his return.
