Victoria artists will be throwing open the doors to their studios to give the public a glimpse into the home of their inspiration.
A free tour lets the public see 40 of Victoria's top artists in their studios and gardens, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.
The Fairfield Artists Studio Tour is an annual self-guided tour that provides art-lovers an opportunity to meet local artists, tour their studios and view their work while exploring the beautiful Victoria neighbourhoods of Fairfield, Rockland and Gonzales.
"This free community event is a celebration of the rich variety of art being created in Victoria," according to the group's website. "Established and emerging artists open their studio doors to the public to display their fine art, including painting, pottery, glass, jewelry, textiles and photography."
Join sculptors, painters, jewellers, textile artists, woodworkers and clay artists as they talk about technique and creativity for all ages, with most artists offering works for sale at a broad range of prices. See artist descriptions and map at www.fairfieldartistsstudiotour.com or pick up a brochure at sponsors’ locations, all studios and at Thrifty’s and other local businesses.
