Victoria-based English as a second language school Stewart College is pitching in to help boost disaster relief in the Philippines.
The college is hosting a fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 7 that features a craft fair, bake sale, flea market, entertainment and ethnic experiences such as a tea ceremony and origami workshop. All proceeds go toward purchasing emergency supplies for those affected by typhoon Haiyan. Stewart College plans to match all moneys raised up to $500.
The event happens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m and admission is $2 or by donation. The college is at 850 Courtney St. next to the YMCA.
