Somebody has to clean the greasy rocks that climbers use to ascend the wall of the Peninsula Co-op Climbing Centre wall in University of Victoria’s CARSA athletic centre.
Leave it to national team climber and UVic student Becca Frangos, who power washed them on an already rainy morning ahead of the holiday break.
“The rocks are taken off to create new routes and that’s a good time to remove the oil, sweat and chalk that builds up on them from climbing,” Frangos said.
