Chefs to create colourful dishes as part of annual arts fundraiser
Colour Your Palate 2
James Bay community school Grade 3 student Caylyn Kelly presents chef Castro Boateng a custom-coloured envelope containing his assignment for the Colour Your Palate culinary competition.

Students at James Bay community school played an important role in the kickoff to the annual Colour Your Palate culinary competition Friday at the school.

The students decorated envelopes containing a colour assignment for participating chefs, who are challenged with creating a canape expressing that colour visually and through flavour.

The Colour Your Palate competition happens April 10 at the University of Victoria’s University Club, with all proceeds going to the ArtsREACH program that provides visual arts opportunities to students in local schools.
