VIDEO: Victoria’s ArtisTREE festival shakes up Government House grounds

The two-day festival drew tens of thousands out to see the works of juried artisans

The second-ever ArtisTREE Festival brought whimsical, spirited fun to the Government House grounds July 26-27.

Over 200 artisans showcased a range of handmade goods and art throughout the gardens, alongside food vendors and music at the Bandshell.

Far from being a static environment, the festival included discoveries at every turn; performers roamed the grounds, including Faerie Dancers by Abby Anna Productions, body-painted models, and Jollygood Productions, as well as live painters and installation art throughout the site.

Workshops included Knotty by Nature Soapmaking, as well as forest wand creation with Waldorf Fairy Wings.

Nearly 20,000 people attended the juried artisan event last year, and organizers expected many more to attend this year’s festival.
