More than 6,000 people attended the free two-day Creatively United for the Planet Festival kicking off Earth Week at St. Ann's Academy. The event featured 100 displays including representatives of schools, non-profits and green businesses giving participants an opportunity to learn about several new local initiatives and to sample a variety of Island-produced food and beverages. The family event featured speakers including artist Robert Bateman, organic gardener and foodie Carolyn Herriot, climate scientist Andrew Weaver, sustainability author Guy Dauncey and others.
