Looking for ideas for your next renovation project? The Victoria Fall Home Expo is taking place all weekend at Pearkes Recreation Centre. The show, which features 115 exhibitors from the home building and renovation industry, runs Friday from 1 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Lohbrunner Community Farm Co-operative is hosting a pumpkin patch fundraiser this weekend. The farm is located at 1152 Lippincott Rd. (off of Luxton Road) in Langford and the pumpkin patch will be open from 3:30 p.m. until dark on Friday (Oct. 20) and from 1 to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.

Monterey Recreation Centre transforms into a bargain hunter’s paradise, as the annual Oak Leaves Bazaar takes over the seniors’ social hub on Saturday. The 40th annual bazaar is at Monterey Recreation Centre, 1442 Monterey Ave. on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Zero Waste Sooke is once again offering Sooke residents the opportunity to do their part in reducing waste. The Repair Cafe takes place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., downstairs at the Sooke Community Hall.

The Victoria Gallery Walk runs from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m, and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Now in its 19th year, the annual art walk gives locals and tourists alike, a chance to see a wide variety of work from Canadian and international artists.

On the West Shore, local Baha’is are inviting residents to join them in the 200th anniversary celebration of the birth of Baha’u’llah. Events get underway at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Langford at Belmont Secondary, 3041 Langford Lake Rd.

The Sooke School District’s PACE musical theatre program is hosting a fundraising concert for a West Shore family that recently underwent a kidney transplant. The Oct. 21 concert at the Isabelle Reader Theatre (1026 Goldstream Ave.) includes performances by alumni and current PACE members. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10.

The Westshore Rebels take on the Vancouver Island Raiders for the Cullen Cup at Westhills Stadium in Langford. Action gets underway at 7.
