Memorial Park Music Fest
For seven summer evenings starting June 26 in Esquimalt, a series of free live outdoor performances will turn Memorial Park into the perfect setting for some early evening tunes from the Bobby Dazzler Band, followed by Montgomery County, Soul Shakers, Black Angus, David Vest, Bijoux du Bayou and Stephanie Greaves. Bring your chairs, plan a picnic or visit a food vendor from 5:30-8 p.m., June 26-Aug. 7.
Esquimalt Outdoor Cinema
Nothing says summer nights like setting out a blanket on the grass to watch your favourite flicks on the big screen, as the stars twinkle above. Another season of Esquimalt’s outdoor summer movies series kicks off July 11 with Wonder Woman at sunset (8 p.m.) at Bullen Park. Come early to ensure a good seat, and visit the Esquimalt Lions concession for snacks.
Funny Farm – Part Deux
Come out in support of the Esquimalt Farmers Market as Juno Award-winning comedian Charlie Demers takes the stage at this FUNdraiser for the market, with a silent auction and portion of tickets sales helping market operating costs. Come take part in this free, informative workshop with licensed and bonded red seal journeyman plumber/gas fitter Devin Perfect, owner of DP Plumbing and Gas, as he covers home plumbing repairs, troubleshooting, tool use and more. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., July 21 at Esquimalt Recreation Centre.
ECO Champs
This free, drop-in program geared for little ones aged 3-6 provides a fun and inclusive learning environment to teach children how to be ecologically-focused. The ECO edcucators encourage you to participate in the passpoprt challenge, collected stamps all summer long. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., July 24 at Highrock Park.
