The program’s goal is to encourage and support the creativity and cultural development of local individuals, groups and organizations, while strengthening the arts and culture presence on the Peninsula.
The grants range between $200 and $3,000 and are available for local individuals, groups, collectives and organizations. Applications from local youth and WSANEC First Nations artists and groups are also encouraged.
The program is designed and managed by the ArtSea Community Arts Council and funded by the Town of Sidney and the districts of North Saanich and Central Saanich.
“Together we look forward to supporting existing arts and cultural initiatives, as well as new and innovative programs that will enrich our communities,” ArtSea stated in a release.
Applications for 2021 are being accepted until Aug. 31. More information and application details can be found at artsea.ca.
