The RCV Skating Club will be performing Peter Pan on Ice at the Archie Browning Sports Centre in March.

Rather than flying through the air to escape the clutches of Captain Hook in Neverland, Peter Pan will be making his getaway on the ice in Esquimalt.

Bringing to life the story of the boy who never grew up is the Racquet Club of Victoria (RCV) Skating Club, who will be performing ‘Peter Pan on Ice’ at Esquimalt’s Archie Browning Sports Centre.

The performance promises to weave the timeless tale of Peter Pan with stunning choreography, mesmerizing music and the agility of the club’s star athletes.

“We are incredibly proud of our skaters, whose hard work and passion shine through every performance,” said a representative of the club. “Peter Pan on Ice is not just an ice show – it’s a celebration of artistry, athleticism and the magic of storytelling on ice.

“We invite skating enthusiasts and families alike to join us for an unforgettable evening.”

Among the line-up of Greater Victoria skaters of all ages, are a number of performers who recently achieved success in national and provincial competitions, including Ruby Blake, who clinched first place in the pre-novice ladies category at the B.C. High Performance competition.

Other recent successes celebrated by the club include Charles Prothero-Brooks, the current B.C. Games Champion in juvenile men and Claire Xiong, for her performance with Stars on Ice alongside Canadian figure skating legend Elvis Stojko.

Performing in the roles of Captain Hook and Tigerlily are two of the club’s coaches, Malcolm O’Halloran and Ravie Cunningham, who are both former international competitors.

“Malcolm was one of my first students back in 1999 when I first started coaching,” said the club’s director Deena Beacon. “He has been in every ice show we have done since 2002.”

Performances will be held on March 22 and March 23. For more information about tickets, visit the website: www.rmts.bc.ca/production-detail-pages/2025/peter-pan-on-ice.
