The countdown is on for Langford’s Canada Day celebrations.

Canadian rock bands Trooper and Big Sugar will be taking over the city’s Starlight Stadium as co-headliners for The Great Canadian Bash on June 28.

There will be more Canadian culture, music and cuisine than you can shake a stick at.

”The Great Canadian Bash is a time for us to come together as a community to celebrate Canada and kick off the Canada Day long weekend with our neighbours and friends,” said Jon Derry, on behalf of Collective Entertainment & Event Group.

The evening begins with a pre-party barbeque, the Great Canadian Cookout and concert with Nautical Disaster, who are said to be “the country’s most authentic Tragically Hip tribute band.”

With the crowd suitably warmed up, Big Sugar will rock out for the crowd.

Known for their unique blend of rock, reggae and blues, Big Sugar will bring their signature sound to the stage, performing chart-topping hits like If I Had My Way, Turn the Lights On and All Hell for a Basement.

Trooper, one of Canada’s most beloved party rock bands, will close out the night, delivering their timeless classics Raise a Little Hell, We’re Here for a Good Time and The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car.
