Three major music festivals are scheduled to return to Greater Victoria next summer.

Back in Atomique Productions’ 2018 festival lineup is the return of Rock the Shores (July 13 to 15), accompanying the Phillips Backyard Weekender (July 20 to 22) and Rifflandia (Sept. 13 to 16).

“Rock The Shores has proven itself as a unique and important event for us, our community and the Island. Speaking for everyone in our small company, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this festival back in 2018,” said Nick Blasko, Atomique Productions director, in a statement.

Rock the Shores is scheduled to return to West Shore Parks and Recreation in Colwood after taking a year hiatus. This event will once again feature a three-day format with a lineup of international, Canadian and local artists.

“We are excited to welcome Rock The Shores back to Colwood in 2018. Rock the Shores is a world-class, home grown festival that has something for everyone, and invites people to explore more of our vibrant seaside community in Colwood,” stated Mayor Carol Hamilton.

The Phillips Backyard Weekender will expand next year, once again taking over Discovery Street and the Anian Yard. Rifflandia celebrated its 10th year in September and will return with a focus on diversity, community and family.

More details about the events, including artists lineups and volunteer applications will be released early next year.

Tickets for all three festivals went on sale Friday morning, with an early bird sale ending on Dec. 31 at midnight. For more information go to atomiqueproductions.com.
