Greater Victoria's crime-fighting, song-singing cop police chorus is back with another Christmas concert.
Founded in 1984 by a group of local officers – it now includes retired officers from across Canada and overseas, as well as civilian members – the 40-year-old group has been performing carols and classic songs every December to promote holiday cheer.
The festive event will take place on Dec. 14, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the North Douglas Church, which sits just off McKenzie Avenue in Saanich.
"The chorus sings under the guidance of music director Janet Rendell and is supported by professional musicians," said the group in a news release. "Whether you are eight or 80, or anywhere in between, you will be hugely entertained by one of Victoria’s premier choruses."
The proceeds of all ticket sales will support the chorus, which has performed up and down the Island and in Alberta, the U.S. and Europe.
