After competing at the 2024 World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal, many of the reigning world champions are now touring their spectacular talent on the 2024 Stars on Ice tour.

Local enthusiasts will get the chance to see the live performances themselves when the tour stops in Victoria on May 16 for a 7 p.m. performance at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Two stars of the show are Canada’s own Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, two-time world medalists and two-time Canadian dance champions.

Also notable this year is Kurt Browning taking the reins as director and choreographer of the production. Browning has been a staple of Stars on Ice since its debut in 1991 and just marked his final year skating in the tour in 2023.

Other champions bringing their talents to the ice include Elvis Stojko, Patrick Chan, Keegan Messing and Satoko Miyahara.

Tickets for Stars on Ice go on sale Thursday, Dec. 7 and start at $32 (service charge applies). Tickets and future skater announcements can be found on starsonice.ca.
