Spiritbox, a heavy metal band from Victoria, is in the running for two Juno awards this year.
The band is nominated for Juno Group of the Year and Best Metal/Hard Rock Album.
For Group of the Year, Spiritbox is up against Mother Mother (from Quadra Island), Crash Adams, Sum 41 Rise and The Beaches.
For Best Metal/Hard Rock Album, they compete against Devin Townsend, Anciients, Kittie and Striker.
Previously, the band won Best International Live Artist at the 2024 Heavy Music Awards and was nominated for two Junos in 2022, among other awards and nominations.
Mother Mother, from Quadra Island, is nominated for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year for their 2024 album Grief Chapter.
The 2025 Juno Awards are set for March 30 at 5 p.m. PDT.
