The cats came back to The Vic Theatre for its most purrfect annual feline film festival featuring the world’s best on the big screen.
Oscilloscope Laboratories’ Cat Video Fest runs Aug. 2 to 4 at the downtown theatre run by the Victoria Film Festival.
“Who does not love watching cat videos? This event is so much fun every year. It also allows us to help Cat’s Cradle in the great work they do,” theatre manager Kiana Karimkhani said.
The quality cat content is collected from the internet or submitted by fans, bringing its joyful communal experience to select theatres. The three-show event also benefits cats in need with a portion of the proceeds going to the Cat’s Cradle Animal Rescue.
The local charity focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of distressed, abandoned, or neglected cats and dogs considered unadoptable because of health, age, appearance, or temperament.
Every attendee of the Cat Video Fest screenings at The Vic also receives a 2-for-1 coupon for the ice cream menu at Chocolats Favoris Victoria.
Shows run Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. (all ages), Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 4 at 3 p.m. (all ages).
