A pair of online Glenlyon Norfolk School showcases share music, art and stories told by the entire school community.
The 30-minute Winter Wonderland starts with the beginner band showcasing its progress since September – including an impressive impression of the musicians’ first note together – and finishes with a complex rendition of Sleigh Ride by the senior school concert band.
Every level of the GNS band program performs selections of seasonal favourites rounded out with a little African folk and a power rock medley.

Head prefects Calla Roberts and Brian Lim introduce the 60-minute The Heart of a Gryphon Concert, emphasizing how society is reliant these days on the selflessness of helpers in the community. The concert is about those individuals who give of themselves.
“We see in them dedication to community consideration and care of others, attention to truth, courage to do what is right and necessary, and respect for every individual. Within them we see the heart of a Griffin,” Lim said.
The 50-minute showcase includes artwork created by junior school students, songs performed by the GNS junior, middle and senior school choirs and stories read by the GNS community, including students, alumna and staff.
“We hope helpers in your life come to mind and you are inspired to share your gratitude with them,” Roberts said.
