In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Comox Valley RCMP and Comox Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) worked together to locate a missing 13-year-old girl.

The teen was reported missing around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan.21) night. She was located at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22) morning.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the CVSAR and RCMP teams, the young woman was found safe and has been reunited with her family.

A special thanks goes to Delta, one of our dedicated search dogs, who played an important role in bringing this search to a positive conclusion.

The CVSAR is grateful for the collaboration with RCMP and proud of the teamwork that made this outcome possible.

CVSAR thanks the public for their continued support.
