NDP Leader David Eby promised an increase in the Production Services Tax Credit and Film Incentive BC refund to 36 percent to hire more BC film workers during a campaign stop at the Martini Town backlot in Aldergrove Saturday.
Eby said the increase will add 7,000 jobs by encouraging international productions to come here.
A self-contained New York-themed backlot set built in 2020 and operated by Langley's Martini Film Studios, the outdoor set occupies approximately six acres of a 17-acre site on 272nd Street

It was Eby's second visit to the Langley area since the writ for the 43rd provincial general election was issued on Saturday, Sept. 21.
