Find your inner peace Tuesday in Victoria

Victoria talks offer techniques for tapping into personal potential

Leaders of a group known as the Inner Peace Movement will be In Victoria on Tuesday (Oct. 1) teaching techniques for finding simplicity, joy and fun in life.

Judy Guido, national director for the non-profit organization, will lead the talks at the Hotel Grand Pacific at 1 and 7 p.m. She'll talk about ways to help achieve one's personal potential using practical techniques and focus on four avenues of communication: intuition, vision, prophecy and feeling.

"By trusting my intuition, I have found inner peace and balance," said Guido, a B.C.-based entrepreneur and certified consultant and instructor with the movement. "I have learned there is no limit to what I can accomplish."

Phillip Ponchet, a former Victoria resident and current acting president of Inner Peace Movement Canada, said self-development is a great tool to help people who are looking for more value from their experiences in life or to be more engaged.

"One of the areas (of practice) is meditation, and learning simple tools to be more open to different solutions," he said. "We're not going to be able to find solutions simply by thinking about them. The answers are inside, we just need help to access them."

Admission for Tuesday's sessions is $21 at the door. The Inner Peace Movement began in 1964 and is practiced in more than 40 countries worldwide. For more information, visit innerpeacemovement.ca.
