If there's one thing we hear people say over and over about Vancouver, it's that it's pretty. Beautiful, even. Breathtaking? Sure, if you're dramatic. Or if you're an Owen Wilson impersonator.
But it appears Beautiful B.C.'s coastal gem wasn't enough for a new global ranking by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) which ranked the world's top 10 most attractive cities.
To be fair, it PwC's list defines attractiveness on more than just physical beauty or facial/skyline symmetry. The list ranks its finishers by factors including education and technology, quality of life, ease of doing business, health and safety, economic clout, and transport.
One Canadian city did make the grade, though. That would be Toronto at No. 4.
London was named the world's most attractive city, followed by its North American rival New York City, which placed second.
The English placed high as a 'gateway' city, with the report remarking that "more than ever, most roads (and flights) lead to London."
The report provided reports and findings on 30 cities around the world – those deemed to be "at the heart of the world's economy and culture" – and said a city's size didn't deem it to be successful.
The report – the Cities of Opportunities 6 – also had chapters on individual cities and their tourist attractions or cultural landmarks, like the Prado in Madrid or the favelas of Brazil.

Singapore came third, while San Francisco took fifth and London's cross-Chunnel rival Paris placed sixth.
