One of two suspects arrested after vehicle break-ins in a Victoria parkade was already facing more than 15 outstanding warrants.

The Victoria Police Department was called on Saturday (Sept. 16) at approximately 5:30 a.m. for a report of a break-and-enter in progress at a secure parkade in the 100-block of Kingston Street.

After a short pursuit, police located two suspects.

One of the men was already facing more than 15 outstanding warrants and was held in custody. The other male suspect was released for a future court appearance.

Several items had been stolen from vehicles in the parkade and police were able to return them to their owners.

The department is reminding residents and visitors to never leave valuables in vehicles, even when parked in a secure area, and to always enable the vehicle’s alarm when parked overnight.
