Three people have been arrested and charged following an assault and robbery in the 200 block of Gorge Road West.
On April 26, the Saanich Police Department responded to the incident where the victim said she had been struck several times and robbed of money and personal property in what police say was a targeted attack.
She said her attackers, two women and a man, had entered a nearby apartment building. Officers entered the building, and two of the suspects were taken into custody as they attempted to leave, and the third was located inside one of the units and arrested without incident.
"At the time of their arrest, the suspects were in possession of a significant amount of cash, drugs, paraphernalia associated with the consumption and trafficking of illegal drugs, as well as several weapons, including an air-soft replica handgun," noted a news release from the Saanich Police Department.
Catherine Magee, Sydney Foort, and Sean Handfield have each been charged with one count of robbery and are scheduled to appear in court on May 7. They have been released from custody, and several conditions have been placed on them.
The victim did not suffer significant physical injuries in the attack and refused medical attention.
