Andre Brunet captured by Victoria police after more than a month on the lam

Brunet had violated conditions of his parole related to a break and enter with intent conviction

Victoria police have captured Andre Brunet, 37, who was on the run since mid-December after breaking the conditions of his parole.

Brunet was on day parole for a break and enter with intent conviction, and had failed to return to his community residential facility in downtown Victoria on Dec. 19.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Brunet the next day.

Brunet was arrested late Wednesday night (Jan. 31) in Victoria.

The arrest was made without incident, according to police.
