The BC United party has unveiled its candidate for the upcoming B.C. provincial election scheduled for October 2024 in the Esquimalt-Colwood riding.

Meagan Brame, a respected community leader and former Esquimalt councillor, enters the political arena with a wealth of experience and a fervent commitment to the community.

As BC United’s candidate for Esquimalt-Colwood, she emphasizes her dedication to the region.

“I’m stepping forward to represent the residents of Esquimalt-Colwood because I’ve witnessed firsthand the struggles many in our community face in making ends meet,” Brame said in a statement. “After nearly seven years of the NDP’s inability to make a difference in our region, life has become more unaffordable than ever. We need an MLA who will champion the issues that are of utmost importance to our people. My background on Esquimalt council, my experience running a child care facility, and my involvement with the Esquimalt Chamber of Commerce will enable me to tackle significant challenges for our community.”

Brame was welcomed by BC United leader, Kevin Falcon.

“I am thrilled to have Meagan Brame join Team BC United. Her passion, dedication, and experience will strengthen our ability to deliver real results on the most pressing issues in the community such as the health care crisis, skyrocketing cost-of-living, and public safety concerns,” said Falcon. “Together, we will fix British Columbia.”
