Sidney Business Improvement Area Society is officially welcoming American tourists back to the town, acknowledging their vital role in the town's economic vitality and community spirit.
The society says travellers from south of the border continue to visit Sidney because of its blend of coastal beauty, small-town hospitality and relaxed atmosphere.
"Sidney has a long-standing tradition of warmly welcoming our American friends and neighbours," says Morgan Shaw, executive director of Sidney BIA. "Our local businesses look forward to their return year after year, many of them building personal connections with repeat guests who become part of our community."
According to the society, American tourist spending energizes shops, restaurants, lodging facilities and popular tourist attractions, ultimately helping boost Sidney's tourism industry, providing crucial support to keep local businesses thriving year-round, sustaining local jobs.
Tourists visiting Sidney have a variety of options, including scenic waterfront walks, marine adventures, unique boutique shopping and cultural landmarks such as the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, Sidney Museum and British Columbia Aviation Museum.
"Whether arriving by ferry, road, or air, these visitors fuel a vibrant business community deeply grateful for their continued patronage," the society said.
