Bus routes in Victoria to be reduced as holiday season approaches

As post-secondary students are out of class for the holidays, BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission has announced a seasonal change for the Victoria Regional Transit system.

To coincide with Camosun College and University of Victoria students holiday breaks, 10 bus routes will be reduced starting on Dec. 9.

The following routes will be reduced:

  • Routes 4 and 7 between UVic and downtown
  • Route 8 Interurban/Tillicum Centre/Oak Bay
  • Route 12 University Heights/UVic
  • Route14 UVic/Vic General
  • Route 15 Esquimalt/UVic
  • Route 21 Interurban/Downtown
  • Route 26 Dockyard/UVic
  • Route 39 Westhills/UVic
  • Route 51 Langford/UVic

The changes will be in effect until Jan. 6. For more information about trip planning, schedules and to sign up for customer alerts, transit users are asked to visit bctransit.com/victoria.
