The Victoria Regional Transit Commission and BC Transit are reminding residents of seasonal service changes for fall starting on Sept. 2.

As part of the change, school trips will resume for routes that serve K-12 school times, while service levels for routes that serve post-secondary schools will be increased. Route 17 Cedar Hill and Route 76 UVic/Swartz Bay will also resume for the school season.

With new and improved transit infrastructure in place, the routes travelling northbound through Carey Road and Ravine Way will return to previous routing, including Route 32 Cordova Bay/Royal Oak Exchange and Route 70 Swartz Bay/Downtown and Route 71 Swartz Bay/Downtown. Service will be seasonally reduced on routes 70 and 75.

"We encourage our customers to use the Umo app, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey," noted a news release from BC Transit.

Other minor trip changes will be made across the system, for full details riders are asked to check the latest Rider’s Guide at bctransit.com/victoria.
