Pacific FC will be giving two free tickets to their season finale on Oct.19 to anyone who donates food to the Goldstream Food Bank.
Fans are encouraged to join the football club in tackling hunger by donating non-perishable food items on Oct. 15 and 16.
These include canned foods like soup, beans, meat, fish, fruits and dry legumes (peas, lentils, beans), pasta sauce, pasta noodles, coffee and tea (instant coffee, ground coffee, tea bags), alternative milk (soy, almond, rice), peanut butter and jam, cereal, school snacks (granola bars, puddings), baking items (flour, baking soda, sugar 10kg bag).
Donors will receive two general admission tickets to the PFC season finale featuring Pacific FC vs. Forge FC which will be held at Starlight Stadium in Langford.
Goldstream Food Bank at 761 Station Street will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.
