Driver involved with cyclist hit and run comes forward to Victoria police

The cyclist was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

A driver who was involved with a cyclist hit and run near the Douglas Street and Alpha Street intersection at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 16 has come forward to investigators.

The vehicle was described as a Mini Cooper and was last seen travelling westbound in the 600-block of Alpha Street. The vehicle was captured on CCTV footage leaving the area and is seen in the image above.

The cyclist was thrown from their bicycle during the collision and later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver came forward after the community update on Dec. 21.

VicPD thanked everyone involved who shared information.
