The West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit has announced a large seizure of drugs, cash and a replica firearm.

The seizure occurred on July 17, 2024, when officers executed two search warrants at residential properties in Colwood and Langford. One man was arrested in connection with drug trafficking and remains in custody.

Officers searched both properties and seized approximately 90 pills and six grams of powder suspected to be fentanyl, 38 grams of suspected powdered cocaine, 3.4 kilograms of suspected dried cannabis, 198 grams of cannabis concentrates, a replica AR-15-style rifle and just under $2,000 in cash.

“Disrupting and dismantling drugs and organized crime is a top priority for West Shore RCMP,” said Sgt. Dave Vunic of the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit.

“Every investigation is a step toward safeguarding our communities and holding offenders accountable.”

To execute the search warrants, the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit worked alongside the Crime Reduction Unit and the Vancouver Island RCMP Emergency Response Team.
