A woman who faked her nursing credentials faces time in prison for crimes including assault and fraud.

In 2021, West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit started investigating 52-year-old Brigitte Cleroux for using stolen and forged documents and impersonating as a nurse while working in a medical facility in View Royal, according to a news release.

Cleroux, who was also convicted of several similar crimes in other parts of B.C.,  was sentenced Dec. 20, 2024, to seven years in prison for assault, using a forged document, impersonation and fraud over $5,000.

Cleroux has also been convicted of similar crimes in Ontario and is currently incarcerated, serving prison time in that province, according to West Shore RCMP.
