Fine rides on display in Metchosin at Fords and Friends car show

The 42nd annual event was held at the Metchosin Arts and Cultural Centre

Fords and Friends contestants showed off classic vehicles during the 2023 car show at the Metchosin Arts and Cultural Centre.

A large crowd checked out a variety of pre-1985 makes and models during the 42nd annual event Sunday (July 16).

Each year, money made at the event gets donated to organizations such as the Mustard Seed Food Bank, the Victoria Women’s Transition House and local high schools with automotive programs.

The 2023 event was free to attend, but there was an optional admission price with donations going to the food bank.

Fords and Friends used to take place in Central Saanich but relocated this year due to space limitations. Central Saanich Lions Club members were still serving food during the event.

The event was organized by the Early Ford V8 Club and included vendor booths from automotive-related businesses.
