InspireHealth has announced the upcoming session of its two-day LIFE Program, designed to provide comprehensive support for cancer patients and survivors in the Victoria area.

This free program will focus on the essential foundations of health and well-being for cancer treatment and recovery. It will take place on Oct. 8 and 9 at 2187 Oak Bay Ave.

"The impact on participants extends far beyond the two days, providing valuable skills, resources, and support that empower patients to navigate the challenges of cancer," said Loveena Chera, CEO of InspireHealth.

Recognizing the wide-ranging challenges faced by cancer patients and their families, the LIFE Program offers support for both physical and emotional well-being. Open to patients from Victoria and surrounding areas, the program is available to those at any stage of cancer, whether newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or in recovery. Caregivers are also encouraged to attend.

Led by a team of healthcare professionals — including physicians, counsellors, dietitians, and exercise physiologists — the program covers topics such as stress reduction, sleep management, self-care practices, nutrition, lymphatic and immune support, and exercise during cancer.

Registration is free, though spots are limited. Patients and caregivers can sign up at inspirehealth.ca/life-2024/ or by calling 1-888-734-7125.
