The Clean Up Victoria Society has announced the upcoming Downtown Clean-Up event, which encourages residents and businesses to work together to keep Victoria’s downtown "clean, green, and beautiful."
On Saturday, March 15, participants will be assigned designated clean-up routes throughout downtown where they will collect litter before returning to Centennial Square for final remarks and prize giveaways. All supplies, including gloves and trash bags, will be provided.
“We believe that small actions can lead to a big impact,” noted Clean Up Victoria founder Kane Hammontree in a news release. “This event is a great way for individuals and businesses to come together and take pride in our city, ensuring a cleaner and more vibrant community.”
The event will start at Centennial Square at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and is expected to run until noon.
