Office of the Seniors Advocate B.C. is highlighting seniors online this June.

The Office of the Seniors Advocate (OSA) wants to showcase some of B.C.'s favourite seniors this month.

Spotlight on Seniors is a new social media campaign from the OSA, which will be held in conjunction with B.C. Seniors' Week (June 1 -7). It aims to highlight the contribution of seniors across the province.

“We’re collecting stories from seniors about their commitments to communities and families, wisdom or advice on aging, or showcasing their special skills so we can share them on our X and Facebook channels," said a representative from the OSA in a press release.

“As BC Seniors Advocate, I’ve met thousands of seniors throughout the province and they comprise an incredibly diverse demographic," said Dan Levitt. "I’m continually amazed at the vast amount of work they do to make our province a better place for everyone."

Seniors and their loved ones are invited to submit a photo and a short paragraph highlighting their accomplishments for a chance to be featured online at seniorsadvocatebc.ca/current-issues/spotlight-on-seniors. Submissions must include a photo and will be accepted until June 7, 2025.

“I look forward to seeing the submissions and sharing the accomplishments, advice and activities of seniors throughout the province,” said a representative from the OSA in a press release.
