Police are looking to identify the occupants of a dark grey pickup truck in relation to reported gunshots in Colwood last week.

West Shore RCMP officers and the K9-unit conducted a neighbourhood search just after 5 p.m. on July 13 after receiving a report about gunshots in the area near Terrahue and Metchosin roads.

A firearm was recovered but police said nobody was injured and it’s believed to be an isolated incident.

West Shore RCMP also got reports of a grey Toyota Tacoma driving from Terrahue Road to Metchosin Road, then onto Lagoon Road at the time of the initial complaint. Police are looking to identify the truck’s occupants and have asked anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone who witnessed an incident, to come forward with information.

The truck is described as a newer model Tacoma with a distinctive front push bar.

Police are also asking homeowners who live between Terrahue and Lagoon roads to check their home surveillance or dash cameras for any footage that may have captured the truck driving by, or any other suspicious activity, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 13.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
